EdCIL employs a comprehensive and systematic approach for selecting and deploying teachers and experts overseas:
- Collaborate with host countries and Indian Missions (MEA) to assess teaching requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs.
- Define the qualifications, experience, eligibility criteria, remuneration packages, and additional terms to ensure alignment with the host country's standards.
- Utilize multiple channels for advertisement, such as national and local media, online job boards, and social media platforms.
- Engage with government and private educational institutions and teacher associations to widen the outreach.
- Establish a screening committee with experts from both the Indian education system (e.g., Government and Private) and officials from the host country to ensure cultural and educational alignment.
- Utilize technology to streamline the initial application process and ensure that all documentation and eligibility checks are conducted efficiently.
- Organize in-depth interviews (virtual or in-person) with shortlisted candidates, assessing their subject matter expertise, adaptability to international settings, and cultural sensitivity.
- Involve host country representatives in finalizing selections to ensure the candidates meet the specific expectations of the educational institutions abroad.
- Prepare contracts outlining responsibilities, duties, terms of employment, and compensation clearly to ensure both parties’ expectations are met.
- Include a pre-departure orientation program that covers cultural, professional, and logistical details to ensure smooth transitions for teachers.
- Establish a robust deployment mechanism, including travel arrangements, housing support, and local integration support for teachers once they arrive at their destination.
