EdCIL Vidyanjali Foundation is incorporated as a section-8 Company on 17 April, 2023 under the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013) and the Company is limited by Shares. It is classified as a not-for-profit company. EdCIL Vidyanjali Foundation is wholly owned subsidiary of EdCIL (India) Limited.

Scholarships to Students pass-out from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) and pursuing graduation:

EdCIL (India) Limited under the guidance of Ministry of Education has initiated a Vidyanjali Scholarship Programme with the aim to seek sponsorship support for enrolment of meritorious students lacking means into Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). To begin with, the primary beneficiaries of the programme shall include students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNVs) from classes XI and XII grade. The JNVs are present in all the districts across the states of India.

One of the primary purposes of the scholarship scheme is to provide even-handed access and opportunities to students having financial constraints in pursuing higher education, ease their transition into the higher education ecosystem and build their capacity for employability. In order to further this objective, the Ministry is desirous to broaden the ambit of the scholarship programme by involving the participation of the private sector CSR funding, which would have a considerable impact on nation building through capacity development and empowerment of deserving school children.

The scholarship is being delivered & deployed through EdCIL Vidyanjali Foundation, under Ministry of Education, Government of India. The activities towards extending support and assistance to needy students of NVS is aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 which mandates equitable access to quality education for all.
